Virgin Punk
-A perfect set up -
is the best phrase to describe this ova
The newest work by Yasuomi Umetsu creator of KITE released in theaters today. And to sum it up , it’s a unique piece of work. With this being a part one of more to come , all this does is just leave you scratching your head while by the end of it you’ll be upset seeing the credits begin to role. This anime is filled with passion , having each frame hand drawn every scene is filled with life . ( and if you stick around for the behind the scenes you will see how much work studio shaft put into it ) and you can see it pay off in the action scenes , when bullets begin to fly , bodies begin to drop , and limbs become severed it all looks so full of life and not just the action scene se but the environment as a whole is fleshed out down to its very little detail. You can see it in the lights of peoples windows, the reflections in the water , and the wardrobe choices for everyone on screen .that’s why it leaves you begging for more . The anime is vibrant and nothing short of eye-candy but it doesn’t overshadow the overall story . At the root of this anime just yasuomis past works(Kite) (Mezze Forte) . Our heroine is thrown into tragedy from the opening scene to the end . With foreshadowing to a tragic childhood to dealing with a creepy loli-con it’s easy to see that we’re being set up for a revenge story and its unsettling. The theatrical experience is bittersweet but unlike most people seeing this I would still recommend you go only to support this piece of work and make it possible to see more original works on the big spring , in the end all I wanna see is the next episode
